Born for Such a Time as This

As I was in my time of worship, God began to remind me that He always plants a solution for every problem.

In 1 Samuel 2:35 God said to Eli, “I will raise up for myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and My mind. I will build him a shore house and he will walk before My anointed forever.”

God birthed Samuel into the earth for such a time as he was born into! Samuel was appointed for that specific and divine era of time that he predestined to be birthed into. Remember, Samuel’s mother, Hannah, struggled for years with a barren womb unable to give birth. She cried out and prayed in agony for years as her husband’s other wife continued giving birth to child after child. Not only that, Hannah was being taunted by the other woman. She was being mocked and ridiculed because she was unable to produce children for her husband in the same way the other woman was able to. I believe part of Hannah’s barrenness had to do with her womb not yet being in the appointed timing of God. I understand how that can sound and you may wonder how I can believe that but I pray that you hear me in the spirit, as you read this post and understand that there is a time and season for things to come to fruition (Ecclesiastes 3).

God Knew the wickedness of Eli’s sons that would eventually lead to their destruction and Samuel was birthed into the earth to become the high priest and prophet that God had appointed for the nation of Israel. Hannah had to PUSH and persevere in prayer and affliction to get the promise birthed. I believe Samuel came onto the scene exactly when he was destined to. Not sooner and not later.

Similar to David, the man after God’s heart. God birthed him into the earth knowing that he would replace Saul whose heart would turn from the Lord and become increasingly wicked. Similar to Esther who was appointed for such a time as she was to deliver her people from death. God moved the then Queen Vashti out of the way so Esther could become queen in the exact right time.

Don’t think it’s strange when God begins to elevate you into positions of favor at certain seasons of your life. Sometimes God has to move someone else out of the way to allow for you to emerge into your appointed seat and your appointed time. The seat God has for you is reserved for you! Take your seat and walk into your God-ordained destiny!
